Episode 12: Food & Kids: Some simple techniques to make family dinner less stressful.

With Angel Caldwell

Angela Caldwell, PHD, Occupational Therapist specializing in pediatrics, and OT professor at the University of Pittsburgh, joins us to talk about food and kids and facing and dealing with rejection as an academic. We learn about the role of an OT, how and when you can use them to help your kids with eating issues, when it's best to get intervention (I wish I had this conversation with her before I was a parent). And she gives great advice on how to make dinner time less stressful and why from an OT perspective family dinner is so vital (this blew my mind). She also helps us redefine what a family dinner looks like to make it more attainable for us to achieve each day (it's a mindset shift that you'll love). We also talk about facing rejection as an academic, dealing with rejection, and how using a growth mindset can help you grow yourself in your career. This is a fantastic episode that every parent needs to hear.
